Not just music, but also the words to tell it. Locus Focus is part of the Locus festival’s cultural weaves

Beside music played, this year Locus Festival decided to improve Locus Focus,  the moments of cultural deepening with writers, journalists and public interviews with the festival artists.
The direction of the program is entrusted to Nicola Gaeta (writer and music critic), Enzo Mansueto (poet, literary and musical critic) and Vittorio Bongiorno (writer and musician) who will lead meetings with some prominent personalities of music and narrative applied to music, including:
SIMON REYNOLDS, american author of classics like “Post Punk” and “Retromania”, one of the most important music critics in the world;
MICHAEL ZADOORIAN, famous Detroit writer whose book “In viaggio contromano” inspired Paolo Virzì’s film “Ella & John” and the last “Beautiful Music”;
GEOFF DYER, English cult writer and author beloved by jazz proselytes.
And again: Luca Conti (Director of Musica Jazz), Alberto Campo, and Alberto Castelli.

Largo Mazzini will be the meeting place for this, a delightful little square in the historic center of Locorotondo, a stone’s throw from the main stage.
