Locus Festival’s announcements for 2020 continuing at a fast pace.
Kokoroko will be performing live on Sunday, 2 August, with a free show in Piazza Moro in Locorotondo.
London based with African roots, they’re renewing Afrobeat great tradition with their name which means “be strong” in the Urhobo language.

KOKOROKO is an 8 element young band from London, leaded by trumpeter Sheila Maurice-Grey.,
playing the music they love and that their parents taught to listen, inspired by Fela Kuti, Ebo Taylor, Tony Allen. By combining urban London sensibilities to the great afrobeat tradition of the 70s,
Kokoroko express a warm sound that shakes the soul, led by a powerful horn section.
Their band name Kokoroko means “be strong” in the Urhobo language
