The Locus festival announces another great name in the finest international electronics: the Canadian musician Dan Snaith, aka Caribou, will perform with his band on August 15, 2022 for the 18th edition of the Locus festival, in Locorotondo (BA), in the beautiful area of Masseria Ferragnano.
Tickets for Caribou al Locus can be purchased from 10:00 am on Friday 3 December 2021 on DICE.fm and on Ticketone.it
At the end of the year, therefore, the program of the summer festival begins to take shape, with the live of alt-J on 18 June in the Port of Bari, and with the very hot mid-August of Caribou in the Itria valley, where he will present his latest and seventh album “Suddenly” (2020).

The eighteenth edition of the Locus festival will have a great anticipation in the Port of Bari on Saturday 18 June 2022, with the exclusive concert of alt-J, one of the most important English bands of the last decade. Tickets available from 10am on November 18th in preview through My Live Nation, and then on general sale from 10am on November 23rd on Dice.fm, Ticketone.it and Ticketmaster.it.
With three albums behind them, a Mercury Prize in 2012 and multiple GRAMMY and BRIT Awards nominations, the famous indie-rock band created in Leeds by Joe Newman (vocals, guitar), Gus Unger-Hamilton (vocals, keyboards, bass) and Thom Sonny Green (drums, percussion) is about to release his fourth album “The Dream” in February 2022.
Anticipated by the singles “U&ME” and “Get Better”, the album recorded during the lockdown promises to be the most mature, representative and experimental alt-J record ever.
In recent years, the three English guys have become the most important indie experience in the world, with gigantic tours as headliners in all the major festivals and continuous sold-out. The long and forced break from live has allowed them to return to focus on production, and now they are ready to return to the stages stronger than before.
With this prestigious first announcement, the Locus festival 2022 reconfirms the increasingly “widespread” character of the festival, with the central part of the program in August in Locorotondo, and a series of large unique events in splendid locations in various Apulian municipalities.
The area chosen for the alt_J concert, exclusively for all of southern Italy, is in the Port of Bari, an evocative place of culture, tourism and hospitality. Thus, the collaboration with the administration of the Apulian capital continues, which has already been successfully tested in the past two editions.
“Rising sun” is the claim designed for the Locus festival 2022, with the traditional circular sign redesigned with the rays of a star. Tthe sun of the new Locus is already rising!

Expanding energy, like a star, like the sun rising over Puglia in the summer. The circular sign of the Locus turns 18, and from its historic center of Locorotondo it connects other cities and districts. The house of the rising sun is the title of an ancient traditional folk song, taken up in the most diverse musical contexts, from The Animals to Nina Simone, from Bob Dylan to Miriam Makeba and many others. One of the first to document it was the ethnomusicologist Alan Lomax, a true inspirational figure for the musical attitudes of the Locus festival. We have reached maturity, but the core of our star remains passion and cultural warmth.
